Childhood Cancer
Lions around the world support children with cancer and the families beside them. Childhood cancer is one of Lions International's eight global causes.
Global cause
The family is part of the diagnosis.
Lions International's goal for this cause is stated as providing support for the needs of children and families affected by childhood cancer. That wording is careful and it is correct. Lions are not clinicians. What Lions can do is reduce the weight of everything that surrounds the treatment: the distance, the cost, the isolation, the missed childhood.

A place at camp
Texas Lions Camp in Kerrville serves children from across the state who have physical disabilities, Down syndrome, cancer, type 1 diabetes and other special medical conditions. All of it is provided free of charge to campers and their families. Colleyville Lions donate to the camp each year and encourage local families to apply.
