Global cause
Food security is service you can carry in your hands.
Lions International states the goal as improving food security and access to nutritious food to help alleviate hunger. In practice that is sorting, packing, driving and stocking. Work that needs hands more than it needs a strategy.
- Pantry support: sorting, packing and delivering where local partners say the gap is.
- Meal programs for older neighbors, run alongside other clubs and agencies.
- Drives that keep children fed outside of school hours.
What Colleyville Lions have done
The club's own calendar records years of service alongside hunger and homelessness organizations across Tarrant County.
[VERIFY: current food partners, drive schedule and accepted items. No active club food drive and no local food-pantry partnership is documented in the 2026 fact harvest, so this page names none. Confirm before adding one.]
Ask before you shop.
A pantry with three hundred cans of one thing and none of another is not helped by another case of the first thing. The club meets Fridays from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. at Crown of Life Lutheran Church, 6605 Pleasant Run Rd. Ask what is short this month, then go and get that.
