Peace Poster Contest
Every year students aged 11 to 13 interpret a single theme in a single poster. The 2026-2027 theme is Harmony in Humanity.

Harmony in Humanity.
Lions International sets the theme, and it changes every year. This year's brief, in the organization's own words: when we treat each other with respect and kindness, peace can flourish. This year, we invite young people to imagine a world where people of every culture and background live together peacefully, celebrating differences, finding common ground and creating true harmony in humanity.
Ages 11, 12 or 13 as of November 15.
For nearly four decades the Lions International Peace Poster Contest has given children ages 11 to 13 the opportunity to share what peace means to them through art. There is no writing component and no language requirement. That is rather the point of it.
- Students aged 11, 12 or 13 as of November 15.
- Entries are made through a sponsoring Lions club.
- The international grand prize is US$5,000.
The contest year runs January to February.
These dates are set by Lions International and repeat annually.
- January 15 to October 1: clubs can order a contest kit for each contest they sponsor. A digital kit is now available by email.
- November 15: postmark deadline for a club to send one winning poster, per contest sponsored, to the district governor.
- February 1: club presidents of international winners are notified on or before this date.

Entries run through a sponsoring club, and the Colleyville Lions Club is the local sponsor. The theme changes each year, so check this page before you start.
